Rehabilitering i ett varmt klimat (klimatvård)
I vissa landsting och regioner finns möjligheten att få stöd för att åka till anläggningar i ett varmt klimat för behandling och rehabilitering. Detta gäller främst patienter med neurologiska sjukdomar, reumatiska sjukdomar, psoriasis samt patienter med olika typer av skador. Vistelsetiden är oftast tre till fyra veckor. I rehabiliteringsprogrammet ingår vanligtvis fysisk aktivitet, sjukgymnastik och kunskapsförmedling. För patienter med psoriasis är även solning en viktig del av behandlingen.

Sammanfattning SBU:s upplysningstjänst
SBU:s upplysningstjänst har identifierat två systematiska översikter och en systematisk litteratursökning på ämnet klimatvård. Utöver de systematiska översikterna har upplysningstjänsten identifierat 11 randomiserade studier och 29 okontrollerade studier samt en hälsoekonomisk studie. Även Socialstyrelsens nationella riktlinjer för psoriasisvård har gjort en bedömning av värdet av klimatvård. Samtliga identifierade systematiska översikter samt Socialstyrelsens nationella riktlinjer för psoriasisvård slår fast att evidensläget är otillräckligt och att fler välgjorda studier behövs.
SBU har inte tagit ställning i sakfrågan eftersom vi inte har bedömt de enskilda studiernas kvalitet eller vägt samman resultaten. Här redovisar vi därför endast de enskilda författarnas slutsatser.
