Patientnära ultraljud i primärvården
Historiskt sett har ultraljudsundersökningar utförts med avancerad utrustning av tränade specialister. I och med den tekniska utvecklingen har ultraljudsutrustningen blivit mindre, mer portabel samt billigare och därmed mer tillgänglig för användning även inom primärvården.

Sammanfattning SBU:s upplysningstjänst
SBU:s upplysningstjänst har efter litteratursökning och kvalitetsgranskning inte inkluderat någon systematisk översikt i svaret. Det har identifierats en relevant systematisk översikt, publicerad år 2019, som tittat på patientnära ultraljud inom primärvården men där vi har bedömt att risken för systematiska fel är hög [1]. SBU:s upplysningstjänst har också identifierat åtta primärstudier, som bland annat utvärderat ultraljudsundersökningar av hjärta, buk, hud och mjukdelar respektive benmineralsammansättning [2–9]. Dessa studier har inte kvalitetsgranskats och författarnas slutsatser presenteras därför inte här.
SBU har inte tagit ställning i sakfrågan eftersom vi varken har bedömt risken för systematiska fel i primärstudierna eller vägt samman resultaten och bedömt graden av vetenskaplig tillförlitlighet. Därför redovisar vi endast författarnas slutsatser från systematiska översikter som bedöms ha låg eller måttlig risk för systematiska fel i den mån de har identifierats.
