Fysisk aktivitet för personer med ADHD och autism
I denna litteraturgenomgång undersöker SBU:s upplysningstjänst om fysisk aktivitet och träning kan lindra symtom hos personer som har neuropsykiatriska svårigheter som ADHD och autismspektrumtillstånd. Forskningen på området har bland annat studerat effekter av fysisk aktivitet på motorik, uthållighet, hyperaktivitet, kognition, beteende och vikt.

Sammanfattning SBU:s upplysningstjänst
SBU:s upplysningstjänst har efter litteratursökning och kvalitetsgranskning av systematiska översikter inkluderat två systematiska översikter i svaret. Översikternas författare drog slutsatsen att fysisk träning har ett flertal positiva effekter. Effekterna gällde bland annat neuropsykiatriska symtom som hyperaktivitet och stereotypa beteenden, kognitiv förmåga och sociala funktioner. Författarna tog även upp skillnader i effekt mellan olika typer av fysisk aktivitet. Författarnas slutsatser har inte analyserats utifrån svenska förhållanden.
SBU har inte tagit ställning i sakfrågan eftersom vi inte har bedömt risken för systematiska fel i primärstudier och inte heller har vägt samman resultaten eller bedömt graden av vetenskaplig tillförlitlighet. Här redovisar vi därför endast författarnas slutsatser från systematiska översikter som bedöms ha låg eller måttlig risk för systematiska fel.
