Psykologisk behandling vid Ménières sjukdom

Ménières sjukdom är en kronisk sjukdom i innerörat som ger anfall med kraftig yrsel, tinnitus och hörselnedsättning. Sjukdomen ger ofta upphov till ångest, oro och depression och kan förvärras av stress och oro, vilket kan göra det relevant med psykologisk behandling.

Strukturerad litteratur­sökning som besvarar fråga från vården eller social­tjänsten om vilka relevanta översikter och studier som finns. Sammanfattning SBU:s upplysningstjänst

Ménières sjukdom är en sjukdom i innerörat med symtom som kan vara kraftigt invalidiserande. Sjukdomen karaktäriseras av anfall av svår yrsel och fluktuerande hörselnedsättning och tinnitus. Symtomen förvärras i många fall av stress och oro, samtidigt som sjukdomens symtom i sig ofta ger upphov till ångest, oro och depression, vilket gör det viktigt för vården att vara uppmärksam på Ménièrepatienters mentala hälsa.

SBU:s upplysningstjänst har efter litteratursökning inte identifierat någon relevant systematisk översikt om psykologisk behandling vid Ménières sjukdom. Ett antal systematiska översikter och primärstudier som undersökt effekterna av psykologisk behandling av vid tinnitus- och yrselsymtom har dock identifierats, och ett urval av dessa presenteras under rubriken Lästips.

På SBU:s upplysningstjänst identifierar och redovisar vi sammanställd forskning (systematiska översikter) eller identifierar vetenskapliga studier som svar på en avgränsad fråga. Vi bedömer risken för bias (överskattning eller underskattning av resultat) i systematiska översikter och presenterar författarnas slutsatser från systematiska översikter med låg eller måttlig risk för bias. I vetenskapliga primärstudier bedömer vi inte risken för bias och därför presenteras de bara som referenser. Vid behov bedömer vi kvalitet avseende ekonomiska aspekter och överförbarhet av resultat i hälsoekonomiska studier och presenterar författarnas slutsatser från de studier som bedöms ha minst medelhög kvalitet och överförbarhet. I svaren väger vi inte samman resultaten eller bedömer graden av vetenskaplig tillförlitlighet.
