Background

The National Board of Health and Welfare has been commissioned to update Swedish national guidelines for psychiatric conditions. SBU will review the scientific evidence for these guidelines.

As part of this project, existing international treatment guidelines for psychiatric conditions will be identified, quality appraised and presented in a living interactive evidence map.

Method

The evidence map is based on a review of guidelines from the American Association of Psychiatric Pharmacists (AAPP). In addition, searches is conducted in PubMed, Guidelines International Network (GIN) Library and web pages for relevant Scandinavian organizations. Guidelines published from year 2016 onwards is included.

The evidence map is continuously updated with new guidelines and quality appraisal using AGREE II (Appraisal of Guidelines for Research & Evaluation) domain 3.
