Outreach work in socially disadvantaged neighbourhoods

Social services sometimes work with outreach in socially disadvantaged neighbourhoods by demonstrating what they do and offering help directly to groups and individuals.

Outreach work is regulated by section three of The Social Services Act (2001:453).

Question

How does outreach work in socially disadvantaged neighbourhoods effect personal safety and criminal activity.

SBU Enquiry Service consists of systematic literature searches to highlight studies that can address questions received by the SBU Enquiry Service from Swedish healthcare or social service providers. Relevant references are compiled by an SBU staff member, in consultation with an external expert when needed. The quality of the studies identified is not systematically reviewed.
