Listen, empathize, agree, partner (LEAP) for people with complex mental health conditions
People with complex mental health conditions have a great need for coordinated efforts from healthcare and social services. These individuals often have low or nonexistent insight into their illness, which can lead to a lack of treatment and support. LEAP (listen, empathize, agree, partner) is a conversational method designed to reach individuals with low illness insight.
Question
What scientific studies have been published regarding the LEAP-method for people with complex mental health conditions?
Method
A systematic literature search was performed using the following databases: Medline (via Ovid), Academic Search Premier, CINAHL, Psychology and Behavioral Sciences Collection, PsycInfo och SocINDEX (via EBSCO) and Scopus.
Two authors independently assessed the abstracts of all identified studies.
Risk of bias in relevant systematic reviews was assessed using an assessment tool based on AMSTAR.
Identified literature
