Performance of service activities by personnel without medical training

Service activities (example given cleaning, laundry, handling of meals and stocks and patient transports) can be performed by specifically hired service personnel without medical training instead of nursing staff. The question that has been asked to the SBU Enquiry Service is what effect this has on patients and nurses.
