Systematic reviews in the field can not clearly distinguish the diagnostic accuracy between different index tests that are used when diagnosing suspected food allergy, at least when an optimal cut-off value for the index test is used.

Aim
This report will high-light the complexity of food allergy diagnostics, as well as the available data from Riggioni and colleagues on sensitivity and specificity of different test types for different food allergies.
