Root canal treatment using formaldehyde containing sealer

Root canal treatment, or endodontic treatment, is performed when the dental pulp has become inflamed or infected. During the treatment the damaged pulp is removed, the root canals are cleaned and disinfected and then filled with gutta percha points and a sealer cement.
