Screening for common mental disorders during pregnancy and for traumatic experiences after delivery

This systematic review will contribute to a national healthcare guidance for pregnancy, childbirth and the postnatal period, which is being developed by Swedish National Board of Health and Welfare.

The aim is to systematically review methods for identifying depression and anxiety disorders during pregnancy, as well as methods for identifying negative or potentially traumatizing experiences associated with childbirth. These disorders and traumatic experiences affect not only the woman, but also her partner, the newborn infant, as well as other family members such as siblings.
